Dyslexia is the result of a neurological dysfunction primarily, but not exclusively in the cortical areas of the brain. This causes visual and auditory processing difficulties leading to problems in reading, writing, memorization, laterality and use of language. We have seen many children with this diagnosis, and they can often dramatically improve with a specific neurological treatment plan and therefore, not need life long coping strategies. With The Family Hope Center’s help, parents can actually develop the areas of the brain that are causing their “dyslexic” child’s underlying problems by removing the obstacles to learning and to having a full, successful life.
Family Hope Center Directors Matthew and Carol Newell have over 30 years’ experience teaching and guiding parents of special needs children. They have taught thousands of parents to help their children to go from blindness to seeing, from deafness to hearing, from an inability to read to reading at age level, and from far below average in intelligence and social awareness to above average in both these areas. In this presentation, Carol will begin to demonstrate simple steps that you can do at home to begin stimulating the affected areas of the brain to reverse the symptoms of dyslexia in your child.
Sara and Daniel Lamb from Merseyside, UK talk about their journey with their son Finley, aged 5. At the age of two Finley could not walk or talk and had severe auditory, sensory and visual issues; difficulties he was potentially facing for the rest of his life. Following unsuccessful consultations with speech, eye and occupational therapists, a physiotherapists, geneticists, neurologists and a paediatrician Sara next turned to a 3-hour talk being hosted by The Family Hope Center in Dublin, Ireland. After listening to the talk Sara called her husband and told him, 'Book some time off [work], we're going to Philadelphia'; Sara realised that the Family Hope Center may have held the answers to Finley's problems. Listen to their journey following their trip to Philadelphia.
Rikke L. of Odense, Denmark talks about her 11-year old daughter Jasmin, and how she spent the first 10 years of her life in and out of hospitals, trying to find solutions for her poor growth, motor and social delays, poor vision, stomach and attention issues. A year after beginning their Family Hope Center program, 4th Grader Jasmin is in the top 10th percentile in her country academically, reads above grade level, and has improved in every area physically and neurologically.
Many children diagnosed with mild to severe CP, autism, ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, and other behavioral or developmental challenges become labeled “special needs”, and carry these inaccurate, symptom-based diagnoses for many years.
In evaluating children with these symptoms we often find that, in addition to significant metabolic toxic sensitivities that adversely affect brain function, injuries in the brain stem, limbic area, cortex and cerebellum are evident. This dysfunction can prevent your child from receiving and processing information properly, which leads to delayed, inaccurate and inappropriate decisions. Because children with these symptoms often have problems in the brain stem area as well, they may alsohave issues with their coordination and mobility.
When a course of treatment is introduced that focuses on, and deals directly with these sensitivities in the affected area of the brain, real improvement in your child’s functioning and behavior will be seen, and we no longer need to rely on life long coping strategies.
Matthew and Carol Newell, Directors of The Family Hope Center, will teach you how identify and begin stimulating the compromised areas of your child’s brain at home without medication and their side effects. With The Family Hope Center’s help, parents can actually develop the areas of the brain that are affecting their ability to learn and thrive
